# Get started

Sign up, choose a plan, then follow the Get started card on your Home page. Each step ticks itself when it is really done, not when you click it.

## Sign up

1. **Your account.** Go to [app.retily.com/register](https://app.retily.com/register). Enter your first name, your last name (optional), your email, a password, your company name and **Your website URL** (optional: your logo and a description of your business come from it). No website, or one we can’t read? You are asked **What does your business do?** instead. Agree to the Terms and the Privacy Policy, then click **Continue**.
2. **Your plan.** Choose a plan, **Monthly** or **Annual**, add your billing address, then pay. A monthly plan’s first month is $1.
3. **Verify your email.** We email you a 6-digit code. Type it on the page, or click **Verify my email** in the email, which works on any device. The code works for 15 minutes. Wrong address? Click **Change it**.
4. **Your workspace.** Check your logo and the description of your business (**Write it for me** drafts one), and your support address. Or click **Skip for now**.
5. **Go live.** Add the chat to your website and invite a teammate, or click **Skip for now**. What you skip stays on your Get started card.

### Not ready to pay?

Under the plans, click **Test your agent first**. You verify your email, then land on the AI Playground with 20 free test answers. Your workspace has no plan yet: you can set everything up, and the AI answers your customers once you choose a plan in **Settings › Billing**. ## The Get started card

Home shows it to the Owner and Admins, as **Get ready for your first customer**, with how many steps are done and about how many minutes are left. Do the steps in any order: the next one not done opens with its button.

1. **Scan your website.** Click **Scan your website**, enter your address and click **Start scanning**. We read up to 30 pages, for free. Untick any page you don’t want, then click the **Keep** button. It ticks when a page from the scan is saved in Knowledge. [More about knowledge](https://retily.com/help/add-knowledge).
2. **Review what your AI learned.** The description of your business shows in the step. After a scan, click **Confirm**, or **Edit** it first; with no scan, write a sentence or two and click **Save**. It ticks once the description is confirmed, edited or written.
3. **Add your logo.** Your chat widget and your emails show it. Upload it in **Settings › Branding**, under **Logo (light background)**. It ticks when your workspace has a logo.
4. **Test your AI agent.** Click **Open the AI Playground** and ask what your customers ask. It ticks on the first answer.
5. **Install the widget or connect email.** Click **Get the widget code** for the install dialog, or **Connect email**; the step also shows your Retily address to forward your support email to, with a copy button. It ticks when the widget first loads on your site, when the first email arrives, or when your own mailbox is connected. 6. **Invite a teammate.** Click **Invite a teammate**. When your plan has no free seat (with no plan yet, or on Starter, your one seat is yours), the step is **Add a member** instead: Members are free. It ticks as soon as anyone else is in the workspace, invited or joined. [Invite your team](https://retily.com/help/invite-team).
7. **Go live.** Nothing to click: it ticks when a real customer starts a chat or emails you. A chat in a widget preview doesn’t count.

**Hide**

The Owner can hide the card for everyone in the workspace; the message that follows has an Undo.

**You’re live**

When every step is done, the card says so once, then doesn’t come back.

## Test before your customers do

- The **AI Playground** shows the AI’s answer only, from the knowledge your customers can see.
- **Test in the real widget**, on the same page, opens your real chat in a new tab, with routing, contact questions, buttons and ticket offers. Only your team can open it.
