Add knowledge
Your AI answers customers from your knowledge base, and only from it. Start with your website, then add what it does not say.

Scan your website
- On Home, in Get started, click Scan your website. Or, on Knowledge, click Add Knowledge, then Scan your website.
- Enter Your website URL (your homepage is enough) and click Start scanning. We read up to 30 pages. It is free: no AI credits.
- Review the pages it read, untick anything your AI shouldn’t use, and click Keep. We also email you when a scan is done.
- One scan at a time, up to 3 an hour and 10 a day. Scanning a page again updates it.
- If your site refuses our crawler (robots.txt, an error like 403, or a bot check), the scan stops there. Add your key pages as articles instead. How our crawler works.
Upload documents, add articles, FAQs and corrections
On Knowledge, click Add Knowledge and pick one:
- Upload a document
- A PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file, up to 10 MB. We read its text and save that; the file itself isn’t kept. A scanned PDF has no text to read: paste the text instead.
- Article
- A Title and a Body. Anything the AI should know: a policy, a guide, a price list.
- FAQ
- A Question and an Answer. Tick Quick-add mode to add several in a row.
- Correction
- A Customer question and the Correct answer, for a question the AI got wrong.
Many items at once: click Import and paste CSV or JSON text.
A new item takes a moment before the AI can find it. Each item counts once toward your plan’s limit: Starter: 100 knowledge items; Growth: 500 knowledge items; Pro: unlimited knowledge items.
Who sees what
Each item has a Visibility. You change it by opening the item on Knowledge.
- Draft
- Where new items start, scanned pages too, unless you tick Internal only. The AI uses it with customers. It is not on your public help center.
- Public
- The AI uses it with customers, and your public help center lists it, once you turn the help center on.
- Internal only
- Never used in answers to customers. For your team: people allowed to view internal articles (the Owner and Admins, by default) see it, and their AI reply drafts can use it.
When you add an article or FAQ, tick Internal only to keep it from customers from the start. Public can be chosen once the item exists.
The public help center
What the AI reads
- Chat on your site and voice calls: everything except Internal only.
- The AI Playground: what a customer would get, so no Internal only items.
- AI reply drafts for your team: Internal only items too, for people allowed to view them.
Fill the gaps
The Knowledge gaps card on Knowledge lists the top questions your AI couldn’t confidently answer. Click View all gaps. For each one, click Answer (as a FAQ, an article or a correction) or Dismiss it. To fix an answer the AI got wrong, see Fix a wrong AI answer.
The Owner can also click Start briefing: the AI goes through open gaps with you, by voice or text, and suggests answers. Nothing is saved until you accept them.
